Are you sure this is Philip Larkin’s voice ?
It doesn’t sound like him to me. I think it’s actor Tom Courtenay.
Still, a beautiful poem (whoever’s reading it).
I agree. Larkin’s own reading is superb,as you would expect, but this is
also excellent. It must be difficult to avoid sounding like an imitation of
such a well-known voice, and I think he does it well.
